(Redwood City, CA) Two hundred and eighty students from fourteen County high schools are currently participating in the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division’s Student Vote Center Representative program for the November 6, 2018 Statewide General Election.

The program, called democracyLIVE! was established to give students a greater awareness of the election process and the rights and responsibilities of voters while serving their community as Vote Center Representatives.

Participating High Schools

The students currently participating in democracyLIVE! represent fourteen high schools, including:

Aragon High School
Burlingame High School
Carlmont High School
Capuchino High School
Design Tech High School
El Camino High School
Junipero Serra High School
Half Moon Bay High School
Hillsdale High School
Mercy High School
Mills High School
Oceana High School
South San Francisco High School
Woodside High School

Training and Stipend

Participants will receive training in advance of the election. Student Vote Center Representatives receive a stipend of $115.00 for the day, plus $25.00 for the time training if they serve on Election Day.
