(Redwood City, CA) The San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division has published the last Semi-Official Results update of the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. Results can be viewed by the public on the Registration & Elections Division website at https://smcacre.gov/elections/march-5-2024-election-results   

One additional ballot was added to today’s results. It was a ballot that was originally challenged but cured before 5 p.m. yesterday. The ballot was in the very close race for U.S. Representative, District 16, which encompasses parts of both San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. As a result of this ballot, Joe Simitian gained an additional vote.

During the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary, 174,122 votes were cast of the 435,482 registered voters in San Mateo County, for a turnout of 39.98% percent. The final results of the election will be officially certified tomorrow, April 4, 2024, by Mark Church, San Mateo County Chief Elections Officer.
