Effective October 1, 2020, the County Clerk-Recorder Division will open to the public on a limited, by appointment only basis. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Face coverings are required, and social distancing will be enforced. Appointments can be made by contacting 650.599.1713.

Wedding Ceremonies
The County Chapel is closed. Civil Wedding Ceremonies will continue to be held through video conferencing via Microsoft Teams. Please email CountyClerk@smcacre.org with your name and phone number to schedule an appointment. A member of the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office will be contacting you for further assistance.

Marriage Licenses
Marriage licenses will continue to be offered online in addition to in-person appointments. 

E-Recordings
Electronic recordings by title companies will continue as usual. Documents can also be mailed to the office at 555 County Center, First Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063.
