Total Paper Ballots received as of the deadline of 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018: 259,911

This number is a raw count estimate (not tallied) that is determined by our electronic sorter. It is subject to change and updated daily as ballots received by the deadline continue to be processed by the electronic sorter.

The above number does not include Conditional Voter Registration Provisional Ballots and Regular Provisional Ballots which are processed after all regular ballots are processed and tallied.

Semi-Official Results, November 13, 2018

Results include: a portion of Vote by Mail ballots received in the mail, electronic votes from all the Vote Centers, and a portion of paper ballots cast at Vote Centers.
Still to count: a portion of Vote by Mail ballots received in the mail, Vote by Mail ballots dropped off at Vote Centers or Drop Boxes, a portion of paper ballots cast at Vote Centers and all provisional ballots.

Results on Racetracker – This report lets you track the contests that you want. You can see how many voters are eligible to vote on a particular contest and how many votes were cast by mail or at a Vote Center. 

“Completed Precincts” refers to all electronic votes counted on Election Night.  These results are not final until the certification of the election.

Tab-separated Format – This report in a plain-text, delimited format allows for greater data analysis. It contains a detailed breakdown of votes cast by precinct, contest, candidate and type (Early, Vote by Mail or Election Day).

Precinct Report – Preliminary report available after Semi Final results posted at the end of the evening on Election Night.

Statewide Election Results – Follow statewide results on the California Secretary of State’s website.

Statement of the Vote – The Statement of the Vote is published at the time of the certification of the election, within 30 days of Election Day. It is a listing of all election contests with totals, by precinct, by cities, by districts, including write-in votes, if any.

Precinct Consolidations – List of precincts that were consolidated for the this election.

Voter registration numbers are 399,591 as of October 27, 2018. Voter registration numbers may not reflect all voters who can cast a ballot in a precinct due to Conditional Voter Registration. Conditional Voter Registration allows voters to register and cast a provisional ballot after the close of registration deadline.

“Completed Precincts” refers to all electronic votes counted on Election Night.  These results are not final until the certification of the election. Ballots cast at Vote Centers, including ballots cast on Election Day, are counted under the “Vote Center Ballots Cast”.
