During the 30 day voting period, eligible voters may visit the Registration & Elections Division at 40 Tower Road, San Mateo to cast their ballot or return a voted mail ballot. The office will be open weekdays Monday, April 4 to Monday, May 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Election Day, Tuesday, May 3, there will be extended office hours from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

April 4 also marks the first day that Vote by Mail Ballots and Voter Information Guides will be sent out to all registered voters in the two school districts. The date voters receive their ballots depends on local mail delivery service. If a voter has not received their ballot by April 18, he or she should contact the Registration & Elections Division. April 18 is also the last day to register to vote in this election.

Registered voters may use the Check My Registration/Access my Election Materials/View My Voter Information Pamphlet link under the “Voters” section on www.shapethefuture.org to verify when ballot materials were mailed and when the Registration & Elections Division received their voted ballot.

Voted mail ballots can only be accepted if they are postmarked on or before Election Day, May 3, and received by Friday, May 6. Voters may deliver their voted ballots in person to the Registration & Elections Division’s 24-hour ballot drop box. The drop box closes at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Voters may also deliver their ballots to the following city halls during the City Clerk’s regular business hours: Brisbane City Hall, 50 Park Place or Menlo Park City Hall, 701 Laurel Street.
