(Redwood City, CA) On Saturday, September 11, twelve (12) additional Vote Centers will open and remain open through Election Day, September 14, 2021. San Mateo County will operate 20 Vote Centers for the September 14, 2021 California Gubernatorial Recall Election. There will be at least one Vote Center in every city in the county.
Vote Center Hours:
|Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 11 to 13, 2021||9 a.m. to 5 p.m.|
|Tuesday, September 14, 2021||7 a.m. to 8 p.m.|
Two Pop-up Vote Centers will be open on Monday, September 13, and Tuesday, September 14, in La Honda and Pescadero.
Voters may use accessible ballot marking tablets, request replacement Vote by Mail ballots, receive multilingual assistance, and register to vote (through conditional voter registration) at any Vote Center.

Vote by Mail ballots were initially mailed on August 12, 2021 to all registered voters. Voted ballots can be returned by mail in the postage-paid envelope provided, placed in an Official Ballot Drop Box, or returned to any Vote Center. Ten of the 42 Drop Box locations are drive-up accessible and available 24/7. A complete list of Vote Center and Drop Box locations can be found at www.smcvote.org.
Voters are encouraged to go to www.smcvote.org and sign up for automated alerts at Where’s My Ballot? or select My Election Info to track when the Registration & Elections Division received their voted ballot and if their ballot was accepted.
