(Redwood City, CA) May 30, 2017 is the final day that registered voters may request a replacement Vote by Mail ballot to be delivered by mail for the June 6, 2017 Town of Atherton Special Mail Ballot Election. The deadline ensures that there is enough time for postal delivery.

“All registered voters in the jurisdiction were automatically mailed a Vote by Mail ballot for the June 6 Election,” said Mark Church, San Mateo County’s Chief Elections Officer and Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder. “However, voters who would like to request a replacement Vote by Mail ballot through the mail have to do so by the May 30 deadline.”

To Request a Replacement Vote by Mail Ballot on or before May 30, 2017 for Mail Delivery, use one of the two options:
  • Prepare a written request, with your signature, stating your full name, residence address, mailing address (if different from your residence address), date of birth, and the name and date of the election for which the Vote by Mail ballot is requested (June 6, 2017 Town of Atherton Special Mail Ballot Election.) Fax or email the request to the Registration & Elections Division, 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, CA 94402. Fax to 650.312.5348 or email registrar@smcare.org.
  • Visit www.shapethefuture.org to submit your request online. Under “Current Elections,” select the “June 6, 2017 Special Mail Ballot Election” and follow the link to the Vote by Mail page. An Online Vote by Mail Request Form is available and can be submitted electronically.
