(Redwood City, CA) San Mateo County will begin posting election results for the November 3, 2015 Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District All-Mailed Ballot Election on the Registration and Elections Division website, www.shapethefuture.org, beginning at 8:05 p.m. on Election Night.  The website will be updated on the half-hour until all Universal Polling Places have been accounted for. 

“The All-Mailed Ballot Election this year is of historical significance,” said Mark Church, Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder. “Efficient reporting of election results on election night is one important component of the pilot program.”

The election results release schedule for election night is as follows:

8:05 p.m. – Vote by Mail ballots received before Election Day
8:30 p.m. – Vote by Mail Results Update
9:00 p.m. – Voting Center Results
9:30 p.m. – Universal Polling Place Results
10:00 p.m. – Universal Polling Place Results
10:30 p.m. – Final Election Night Report       

The post-election results release schedule will be posted on the website after Election Day.    

Election results can be viewed in the following three formats on the Registration & Elections Division website, at the “Get Election Results” link:

  • The “RaceTracker” web application allows the user to customize the report to: display all or only selected races; see what percentage of the vote has been reported; know which precincts have reported and to determine both percentages and raw vote totals from Vote by Mail ballots, early voting, and/or Election Day precinct voting.
  • Printable PDF format reports are available if a paper record of the results at each reporting interval is desired. 
  • HTML format reports which are designed for fast, convenient, at a glance reviewing and scrolling of results.

In addition, members of the public can use the website’s “Precinct Tracker” tool in order to monitor the movement of voted precinct ballots from each polling place to the Registration & Elections Division Tally Room.

The Registration & Elections Division will send e-mail alerts to interested members of the public as new results are posted online.  Requests can be made online by going to www.shapethefuture.org and clicking on the link “November 3, 2015 Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District All-Mailed Ballot Election” under “Current Elections”, or by calling 650.312.5222.
