(Redwood City, CA) Mark Church, San Mateo County Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder announced today that the Registration & Elections Division will partner with the California Secretary of State to provide voters with expanded abilities to track their Vote by Mail ballot and receive important election information. With the “Where’s My Ballot?” tool, voters will be able to track when their ballot is mailed, received, and counted, and can be instantly notified of any issue, such as a missing signature.

“San Mateo County voters have taken advantage of our ‘Track & Confirm’ service to monitor their ballot for many years,” said Church. “In addition to a modern, user-friendly interface, this updated tracking tool allows us to send important messages directly to participating voters. These messages can be tailored to reach all voters in the county or be sent to voters in specific jurisdictions or precincts, based on the target audience.”

Voters can sign up for this service now at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov. Once a voter signs up for the service, they will continue to receive notifications in each election as long as they wish.
