(Redwood City, CA) Mark Church, Chief Elections Officer for the County of San Mateo, officially certified the election results today for the May 7, 2019 La Honda Road Territory Transfer Special Mail Ballot Election.

“The election went smoothly. Conducting small, special elections by mail is more efficient and less costly,” Church said.

The results of the election are certified upon completion of the Canvass of the Vote during the 30 days following an election, which includes a One Percent Manual Tally of the votes to confirm the accuracy of the results.

The Official Election Results, published in the Statement of the Vote, are posted on the San Mateo County Registration & Elections website, www.smcacre.org. These official election results provide a complete picture of the election with vote totals that are broken down by precinct and the method in which the ballots were cast. The Precinct Report is also available online and lists the ballots cast and turnout on a precinct-by-precinct basis.

Anyone may review, download, or print a complete copy of the election results at www.smcacre.org.
