(Redwood City, CA) A registered voter from the Town of Woodside has filed a request with the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division for a manual recount of the votes cast in the November 2, 2021 Special Election for Woodside Measure A. Woodside Measure A was certified as passing with 1,160 votes or 50.11% of all votes cast.

The results of the election were certified on November 19, 2021 following a One Percent Manual Tally of the votes to confirm the accuracy of the results. Recounts differ from audits in that an audit is a re-tally of a randomly selected sample of ballots used to statistically verify the accuracy of an election’s results.

The recount is scheduled to begin Wednesday, December 1, at 8 a.m. at the Registration & Elections Division located at 40 Tower Road, San Mateo. The recount is open to the public. Observers must follow the indoor mask mandate in effect in San Mateo County.
