(Redwood City, CA) San Mateo County Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, Mark Church, announced that October 19 is the deadline to register to vote in the November 3, 2015 Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District All-Mailed Ballot Election. 

To satisfy the deadline, the mailed registration card must be postmarked on or before October 19, 2015 or individuals may register online by midnight on October 19 by visiting San Mateo County official elections website www.shapethefuture.org and clicking on “Register to Vote."

“The November 3, 2015 All-Mailed Ballot Election is of vital importance to our communities,” stated Church.  “It is critical that every eligible person is registered to vote in this very important election,” he added. 

To be eligible to register to vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old by Election Day.  Additionally, eligible persons must not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction nor declared mentally incompetent by the court.  

Eligible persons can register to vote by completing a voter registration card available at:

  • Registration & Elections Division, 40 Tower Rd, San Mateo, CA 94402
  • 555 County Center, Redwood City, CA 94063
  • Public Libraries
  • City and Town Halls
  • U.S. Postal Service offices
  • Department of Motor Vehicles offices

Voters must re-register whenever they move to a new address, change their name or would like to change political party affiliation.  While party affiliation isn’t a factor in this November 3rd election, updating a residence or mailing address is critical.
