(Redwood City, CA) Those interested in running as a write-in candidate in the June 3, 2014 Statewide Direct Primary Election have until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 to file all necessary paperwork with the San Mateo County Registration and  Elections Division at 40 Tower Road, San Mateo. 

Potential write-in candidates must file a Statement of Write-In Candidacy providing the candidate’s name and residential address, the candidate’s declaration of candidacy for a specifically named office and specific election date and a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).  No filing fee or charge shall be required.

To date, two write-in candidates have filed to run for county offices.  The complete Roster of Candidates is posted online and is updated when new candidates file.  To view the roster, please go to www.shapethefuture.org/elections/2014/june/.
