(Redwood City, CA) Mark Church, Chief Elections & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder announced today that 36 additional Vote Centers will open on Saturday, November 5, and remain open through Election Day, November 8, 2022.  San Mateo County will operate 45 Vote Centers for the November 8, 2022 Statewide General Election.  There will be at least one Vote Center in every city in the county.

Vote Center Hours:
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, November 5 to 7                   
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, November 8                                                                    
7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A Mobile Vote Center will be set up at the Half Moon Bay Airport for use on November 5 and 6; and then will be moved to the Hillsdale Shopping Mall in San Mateo on November 7 and 8.

Three Pop-up Vote Centers will be open on November 7 and 8 in East Palo Alto, La Honda, and Pescadero.

Voters may use accessible ballot marking tablets, request replacement Vote by Mail ballots and receive multilingual assistance at Vote Centers.  County residents, who meet the eligibility requirements, may register, and vote on the same day at any Vote Center.

Vote by Mail ballots were mailed on October 7 to all registered voters.  Voted ballots can be returned by mail in the postage-paid envelope provided with the ballot, placed in an Official Ballot Drop Box, or returned at any Vote Center.  Forty-two of the 55 Drop Box locations are available 24/7; 11 of these are drive-up boxes.  A complete list of Vote Center and Drop Box locations can be found at smcvote.org.

Voters are encouraged to go to smcvote.org and sign up for automated alerts on the status of their Vote by Mail ballot at Where’s My Ballot? or select My Election Info to track when the Registration & Elections Division received their voted ballot and if their ballot was accepted.
