(Redwood City, CA) Primary and rebuttal arguments have been filed for the March 7, 2017 Menlo Park City Elementary School District Special Election, and the rebuttal arguments are now open for public review. The 10-day public review period for rebuttal arguments opened at 5 p.m. on December 27, 2016 and will remain open until 5 p.m. on January 6, 2017.

“During the 10-day public review period, the public is provided with an opportunity to read and challenge the language of the rebuttal arguments, which are available for review at our office and on our website,” said Mark Church, Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder.

During the 10-day public review period, registered voters, who are eligible to vote on the measure, may seek a judicial writ of mandate or injunction requiring any or all of the materials to be amended or deleted. The request for a writ of mandate or injunction shall be filed no later than the end of the review period.

The ballot question, text of the measure, the arguments in favor and against, and the rebuttal are published on the Registration & Elections website, www.shapethefuture.org, as soon as it is permissible by law.
